PETROLEUM CORE SAMPLES

IMPORTANT NOTES

Permeabilities are in units of “millidarcies (mD) to air”. These are not ‘guaranteed’ values and only to be used as references for our customers. Being a natural stone, permeabilities can widely vary within the depths and widths of the blocks. The values of each large core block are assigned permeabilities based on testing results of a small 1 1/2″ dia x 2″ long sampling cut from the corner of the block. Every attempt is always made to secure the purchased cores within the closest range possible to that of the value ordered, but again are not exact. After being cut, cores are not cleaned, but are tested with a mini perm to see that they are within an acceptable range.
